Bread Baking Class

Learn to bake delicious and healthy bread in School of Food's bread bakery class. In this fun private cookery class - which happens in your home kitchen, anywhere in our London coverage area - we teach you the essential skills behind great loaves and buns.

During the 3.5 - 4 hour class we work with both yeasted doughs and soda bread and make a range of loaves such as a wholemeal brown loaf, focaccia, traditional soda bread and buns.

We cover:

  • Choosing flours and making dough
  • Great kneading technique
  • Shaping dough for stone-cooked breads
  • Getting the best from your domestic oven
  • Fitting bread bakery into your everyday routine

The class lasts 3.5 - 4 hours, takes place in your kitchen at home and the tutor brings all the ingredients and any special tools required. At the end of the class you get to enjoy the freshly-baked bread!
