Learn to use the fundamental cook's tool: the knife. In this private class at your home you are taught to handle a knife like a chef: to slice and dice vegetables and fruit like a pro without slicing and dicing yourself!
The class concentrates mostly on techniques for vegetables and involves lots of practical learning for all participants. We use the product of all the practice to make something delicious to eat at the end of the class.
What you learn:
- knife basics - which knife to use and how to use it safely
- how to keep your knives razor-sharp
- the special techniques for slicing and chopping onions
- the different vegetable cuts - dicing and julienne
- to quarter and bone poultry
If required, your tutor can provide knives, although you will need a chopping board for each participant. Your tutor will provide all the ingredients required.
