Learn how to make sushi in a School of Food sushi class - it is a fun, informative and delicious introduction to making your own sushi and sashimi. This private class is held in your own home kitchen anywhere in our London coverage area and will teach you to confidently make all sorts of sushi. The class ends with you sitting down for a feast of tasty, could-not-be-fresher sushi.
In our class we work with a range of raw and cooked fish and vegetables and you learn the key sushi making skills:
- purchasing fish - to ensure you only buy the best fish available
- cutting fish - for maki-sushi and nigiri-sushi
- cooking rice - how to cook and season perfect sushi rice
- shaping - how to hand-form nigiri
- rolling - how to make maki, inside-out rolls
- cutting fish for sashimi
Your tutor will bring all the ingredients required for the class and can also provide a rice cooker and rollmats if required. We can arrange vegetarian sushi classes - if you would like this please mention in the "special notes" section of your booking.
